2007 ADVANCE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The 2007 Annie & Steve Norman Classic Motorcar Rally is now being
planned. Sign-up is underway for the 14th Annual Rally, scheduled for June
7-10th, 2007. The rally will be centered in Anacortes, Washington. Home
base will be The Majestic Inn and Spa in Anacortes, Washington (1-877-370-0100).
We will rally throughout the Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties, covering
about 150 miles per day.
We continue with a two-division field for the 2006 event. In past years,
teams have limited to using collector cars that are at least 25 years old.
Since the 2001 rally, we have allowed newer cars to be used. For the June
2006 event we will again offer an additional participant class for sporting
motorcars built since 1974. Cars produced up to 1973 will compete in the
'classic division' while cars built since 1973 will compete in the 'contemporary
division'. Both divisions will run the same rally routes but scoring will
be separate for each division and awards will be presented for each division.
This allows owners of newer cars to participate in the rallies but will
not allow the newer cars to compete directly with older cars. In order to
reserve your space, please complete the following advance registration form.
The cost of the Rally is $550 per rally team. Participants are asked
to pay the amount due by May 1, 2007. The fee covers eight meals (driver
and navigator), Rally premiums and expenses. Hotel costs are the responsibility
of each team. The Majestic Inn and Spa are providing a 15 percent discount
from their rates to all rally participants. Rooms are limited and reservations
are encouraged as early as possible (1-877-370-0100).
