description Dropout prevention program enhances learning and language skills. Started with an emphasis on ESL students but evolved to work with wider groups, building language and reading skills. A four year grade level difference is required between tutor and tutee.

description Organization encourages Hispanic youth to attend college. Program "Transition to High School and Beyond: A Model" develops 8th graders' skills to succeed in high school. Includes study skill workshops, role modeling, orientation to high school, counseling and tutoring by HS students. 8th graders also tutor elementary students. Also includes sessions for parents. An outgrowth of the Hispanic Student Success Program (HSSP).
