Average College Costs in the Pacific Northwest

College financial aid is not based on tuition/fees. Financial aid is based on the 'total cost of education', which includes; Tuition and Fees, Books and Supplies, Room and Board, and Other Costs (necessities for student). Each college financial aid office sets their own 'Total Cost of Education' budget for students. Numbers for books and supplies, transportation and other costs are one-size-fits-all. Colleges will adjust these numbers to reflect individual student's real costs. Changes to these numbers must be requested in writing with reasons given for adjustments. A change in these costs can result in more aid. Below are average costs for local colleges and universities. Individual college costs will vary from school to school and should be confirmed. If students attend public colleges and universities outside of their state of residence, multiply tuition and fees by three.
